I finished the autumn 2024 program expecting to learn about financial planning. Instead, I understood why I'd been avoiding certain money conversations for years. That insight changed more than my bank balance. The group sessions were surprisingly honest, and Freja's facilitation kept discussions grounded in real experience rather than abstract theory.
Your Relationship With Money Starts Here
Most people never learn to think clearly about money. We changed that for ourselves in 2019, and we've been helping Australians reshape their financial patterns ever since.

Before Starting
People usually want to know if this is another budgeting course. It's not. We focus on the psychological patterns that determine how you interact with money before you ever open a spreadsheet.
During the Program
The most common question we get is about time commitment. Our September 2025 cohort runs for twelve weeks with two hours of work per week. That includes reading, reflection exercises, and group sessions.
After Completion
What happens when the program ends? You keep access to all materials and monthly alumni sessions. Many participants form small peer groups that continue meeting on their own.
Why Money Mindset Matters More Than Tactics
Back in 2018, I realized I knew plenty about investing and budgeting but still made questionable financial choices. The disconnect was frustrating.
- We examine the stories you inherited about money from family, culture, and early experiences that shape current behavior
- You'll learn to recognize automatic patterns that drive spending, saving, and investment decisions before conscious thought kicks in
- The program includes practical exercises for real situations like salary negotiations, large purchases, and difficult financial conversations
- Small group discussions help you see how others navigate similar challenges and find approaches that fit your situation
What Actually Happens in the Program
Our next program starts in September 2025. Each week covers a specific aspect of money psychology with readings, reflection prompts, and group discussion.
Week one looks at your earliest money memories and what they revealed about your family's approach. Week four explores how you make decisions under financial pressure. Week nine focuses on talking about money with partners or family members.
Between sessions, you'll complete short exercises that connect concepts to your actual financial life. The work is personal but you're not doing it alone.
